I am a Freelance Marketer and Publicist currently based in Surrey, having just recently returned from New Zealand where I lived for three years.
Previous organisations I worked with New Zealand included Choirs Aotearoa (Social Media Coordinator), Fresh Dada (Marketing Manager), the Wellington Youth Choir (Administrator) and Promethean Editions Limited (Promotion Intern). In addition to marketing, I freelanced as a Music Tutor, Singing Teacher and Choir Director in both Wanganui and Wellington.
I am the Founder of niche opera project Operagasmic which performs operas in unusual venues such as bars with the aim of attracting a wider, often younger audience. The results have been unpredictable but successful.
I studied Music as the University of York and during my time there I was Events Coordinator for the University of York Music Society, Chair of the University of York Opera Society and general opera enthusiast. I volunteered at Opera North for two years as a TONAL Ambassador which was a great scheme to get students going to opera.
I enjoy singing and have been a member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, Laudibus, and the New Zealand Youth Choir with whom I toured Asia and Australia.
I am currently working on a social media strategy for contemporary performing arts platform Pop-Up Circus and I hope to work towards the Chartered Institute for Marketing Professional Certificate this year.
